New John Bean Blend!
Original badman Future Thug John Bean comes through with a tight blend of Body Work by Juicy J, Meek Mill and French Montana with Koopa Shell by Royal T.
John Bean’s diy acapella version of Body Work has already been downloaded 1000′s of times but there’s only a few remixes we’ve heard over here. John’s always reppin’ Philly so it’s no coincidence he picked a track featuring Philly’s own Meek Mill to make a blend with. Blast this track in the club or at 4am in your bedroom.
John Bean has been living the good life over in Amsterdam for the past two years but is set to return to the States over the summer. He maintains www.futurethugs.bandcamp.com as well as being the co-founder of the Future Thugs crew along with Dr. Ew. Be on the look out for this man slaying decks upon arrival.
Real Time Live Hardware/Software Beats Party
Dr. Ew, Bombé, Applejuce Live Collab at Real Time
Yo! This is Dr. Ew
speaking, I want to tell you about a party I throw Real Time Live Hardware and Beats
. My entry way into electronic music completely comes from the drum machines and synths used to build 80′s Hip Hop and Industrial music. Likewise my journey to production, while taking place in a completely digital world, began with hardware and tape machines. Paying homage to this journey and the genuine love of performing music live and creating my own sounds, the idea for the party Real Time was conceived. It started as an idea between John Bean
and I but the Real Time show became ‘realized’ after John had moved to Amsterdam with the supreme partnership of fellow Philly DJ’s and Producers: Speaker for the Dead
and freshly knighted Future Thug, Bombé
. Together we run the event every 2nd Thursday at Kung Fu Necktie
M.A.R.S. Ensemble 2012
One of our first guests, Mr. Manic, wrote up a real nice article/show review about our most recent event where we featured M.A.R.S., an Electronic Music Ensemble of Community College of Philadelphia, comprised of students and led by Philly-bred-world-renowned DJ/Producer Starkey, who also is a professor at CCP. Check out the article for the full scoop on M.A.R.S., what we do at Real Time and more about how the whole thing got started and is all linked together.

Lil Wayne Out of Hospital!
“Los Angeles (CNN) — Rapper Lil Wayne has been released from a Los Angeles hospital where he was taken after suffering a seizure last week, his publicist said late Monday night.
The 30-year-old rapper’s hospitalization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center triggered media reports that he was near death — rumors his associates were quick to squash. Few details about his medical condition were made public.
On Monday night, Mack Maine, the president of Wayne’s label, Young Money, thanked the hospital.
“@LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home…God is great,” he tweeted.
Lil Tunechi is Lil Wayne’s nickname, as well as his Twitter handle.
An online report that Lil Wayne was near death and on life support Friday cause panic among his fans and caused Twitter to light up with messages of concern.
“I’m good everybody,” the rapper tweeted Friday evening, helping defuse the concerns. “Thnx for the prayers and love.”"
I made this remix the summer “Tupac Back” was out and Lil Wayne had put “Tunechi’s Back” on his mixtape. I played it out a few times never released it to the public. I got to admit I was legitimately worried about Lil Wayne’s health this past week. If you look on my soundcloud there’s more than a few Lil Wayne remixes. Anyway since the man has been released on good health I felt it was time to throw this remix out there for yall to blast this week/weekend.
While diggin through my own archives I also found a cool remix of “Next Hype” by Tempa T over a cut up and re-drummed “Oh Let’s Do It” by Waka Flocka Flame. With trap at it’s height this remix works well bringing in some grime flavor and crosses those genres. Check it out…
